Will Robert Downey Jr. Give Up The Iron Man Suit?

Robert Downey Jr. is the face of Iron Man and has been for 5 years now but recently it’s been said that Iron Man 3 is the last film he had to do under his contract for Iron Man and maybe he won’t come back to the role; it’s even said they may James Bond the franchise and just replace him out of the blue.

This is a huge problem because Robert Downey Jr. is Tony Stark, he has the character nailed to the last detail and is one of the greatest portrayals of a superhero I have seen; I can’t even imagine another actor ever doing nearly a quarter as well as he’s done so far and nobody else could to the role any justice like he has.

If they decide to really replace him than there is no one I can even remotely think of, it’s not like its Spider-Man who was easily possible to replace; not saying I didn’t love the Toby McGuire films but I just felt like it was something they could easily do.

I wish Marvel luck if they honestly go with this plan because I can tell you without a doubt that the next Iron Man film will be a huge flop, Robert Downey Jr. makes the movie what it is and I’m hoping the third is much better than the second.

I can’t I agree with Marvel on this one. Replacing Tony Stark would be very hard and the poor actor replacing him would have way to much to live up to. I think Marvel after 3 should let the Iron Man franchise take a much needed break and develop other characters in the Marvel universe. Allow Robert Downy time to go and do other non-comic book related movies.
